KCA DEUTAG provides drilling rig design, engineering, construction and operational services internationally, and employs more than 6,000 people.

KCA DEUTAG had been using SAP R/3 Version 4.6c in one key location for several years, but disparate legacy systems had accumulated over time.

The company decided to implement SAP worldwide throughout the group, and Absoft was commissioned to produce a blueprint, followed by a full SAP implementation in two phases.

The first phase has now been completed successfully, establishing common business processes across the organisation, with particular benefits in HR and payroll.
