- THE Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA)
SQA is Scotland’s national body for the development, accreditation, assessment and certification of qualifications other than degrees. Qualifications under the remit of SQA include: National Qualifications, including Standard Grade and National Units and Higher National Certificates and Diplomas (HNC/ HND).
SQA has run SAP’s ERP 5 business software system since go-live in December 2006. Following go-live, SQA sought a long-term support partner who could help them realise the capability promised by their new system and cope comfortably with the organisations' needs.
After a formal process of evaluation, the contract was awarded to Absoft.
Absoft provides second line support to SQA's internal SAP support team. The Ruby-level contract allows for up to 49 hours of support per month - mainly functional support but with an element of BASIS assistance.
