A leading operator and oilfield service company will headline the discussion at an oil and gas forum, and share how they have optimised finance processes using SAP software.
Absoft, the SAP specialists in upstream, will host the finance forum for process efficiency on February 26, which will focus on how automated solutions can reduce the time spent performing administrative tasks.
A leading operator will discuss effective cost reporting in upstream and demonstrate how the SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence solution can improve the overall accuracy and reliability of financial reporting by reducing the time spent consolidating financial information.
Scott Simpson, principal finance consultant, Absoft, will also provide an overview of ReadSoft and demonstrate how the online scanning solution can automate invoice processing and minimise the loss of sensitive data often caused by manual error. On the theme of invoice automation, there will be a further presentation on the Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) module which was successfully implemented at Subsea 7 to optimise the process of receiving, tracking and processing invoices in SAP.Â
Mr Simpson said: “Whether delegates are new to SAP, or a technical user, our forum invites operators and oilfield service companies to discuss the common challenges they are facing in the current climate, and to share in their experience of SAP solutions which can streamline finance processes, reduce admin time and ultimately manage costs”.
The forum, which is free to attend, includes a networking lunch and runs from 1pm to 4pm at Absoft’s headquarters at Davidson House, Campus 1, Aberdeen Innovation Park, Balgownie Road.
