In November, Absoft’s Commercial Director Don Valentine, SAP Solution Architect Björn Harzer and Senior Technical Consultant Robert MacDonald attended a two day S/4HANA Excellence Campus event in Maidenhead. The objective of the event, hosted by SAP, was to assist partners in promoting the latest and greatest version of SAP to UK companies.
The informative event also included a competition between the attending SAP partners to demonstrate who had the best understanding of S/4HANA and the value it offers. The competition was split into three parts. Firstly, teams were asked to make a ten minute pitch to a fictitious company who were interested in the new version of SAP, then they were challenged to run a live twenty minute demonstration of S/4HANA and finally each team were tasked with using a S/4HANA system to “run a company” for an hour.
For the demonstration, the Absoft team used SAPUI5 and Lumira to make sure the demo looked as strong as possible and impressed the judges by using the only just released S/4HANA 1610 version.Â
Absoft were also crowned winners of the overall competition and awarded the hoodies shown in the photograph below.
